Are you a travel blogger, content creator, or influencer considering to attend World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025? You’re in the right place! This will be my third year attending (in a row) and there’s a LOT I learned the first two years, that I wanted to share with you – that way you know what to expect and avoid common beginner mistakes.
WTM London is the most influential travel and tourism event in the world, and is a yearly event that welcomes over ten of thousands of people. In 2024, WTM London had over 46,000 people – a 6% rise in overall attendance compared to 2023.
This event always takes place from Tuesday to Thursday of the first week of November – this year it will take place from November 4 to November 6.
As a travel blogger, World Travel Market London is always a major highlight of the year. Not only is it an incredible event to network with Tourism Boards, DMCs, and travel-related companies – it’s the time of year where you get to meet up in person with your travel blogging or content creator friends, or even make new friendships!
The entrepreneur life can often feel isolating, so this event really allows you to grow deeper into the travel community, learn from your friends/colleagues, and even share your struggles.
Without further ado, whether this is your first or second time attending – here is everything you need to know about attending World Travel Market London 2025. I’ll share everything from tickets to dress code, meetings, what to bring, and beyond.

What is the theme of World Travel Market 2025?

The theme of WTM London 2025 is “Reimagining Travel in a Changing World”.
Is WTM free to attend?
One of the best parts about this event is that the tickets are FREE for the first few months after their “launch”. These tickets are FREE until Monday 22nd September – after that, they will cost £49 +VAT.
Note: These tickets are not sold onsite – you need to book them in advance online! I personally recommend booking sooner than later, as the WTM team needs to confirm your tickets after you sign up for them. (This might be different if you buy the tickets – but I can’t guarantee anything).
What Ticket Should You Book for WTM London?
This is really important! If you’re a Travel Blogger, Content Creator, or Influencer, make sure you get the Media Ticket!
This is a really common mistake for first time visitors. Our first year, many of my friends and I made the unfortunate mistake of booking the Trade Visitor tickets.
The Media Ticket is what gives you access to the WTM Connect Me Platform, where you can request, or receive invites, to meetings with tourism boards, DMCs, and beyond.
If you don’t have the Media Ticket, you can still approach people at the stands and ask them if there’s any availability to talk. My first year, I presented myself to the representatives of tourism boards and companies I wanted to work with and left them my business card.
Which Airport is Best for WTM London?
London has four airports, and the “best” airport depends on where you’re flying in from and your budget. Being based in Spain, I always fly into London Stansted Airport due to Ryan Air.
Stansted is very well connected with a high-speed train, the Stansted Express, and is a great option if you’re on a budget. Only thing, it’s not always the best airport to fly out from.😅
Heathrow and Gatwick are the biggest airports of London, and are – in my experience – the most expensive to fly into. The upside is that they are more central than Stansted or Luton.
What’s nice about Heathrow airport is that it connects to the Elizabeth Line, which brings you directly to Excel in around 43 minutes.
Where is the World Travel Market in London?
World Travel Market London always takes place in ExCel London. This is an immense, international exhibition and convention centre that is about 100,000 square meters.
How to Reach Excel London?

The best way to reach ExCel London depends on where you’re staying. Personally, the tube is the best way as it’s easy to navigate, affordable, and environmentally friendly.
To reach Excel London, you will need to hop on the Elizabeth Line, in the direction of Abbey Wood, and stop at Custom House – where Excel is.
Here’s a really neat page that helps you plan your journey to Excel! Simply input where you’re leaving from and Excel as your destination, and this page will show you different available options to help you pick your favorite. Even better? It mentions any delays or alerts.
Note: The most cost-effective method for the tube is to pay contactless (Card, Apple Pay, etc), or by buying an Oyster Card.
Where to Stay in London for World Travel Market Attendees?
Where you stay in London totally depends on your personal preferences and on how you’re planning to tackle the event, and your time in London.
Some things to take in consideration are:
- Do you prefer a central location, or a short commute?
- Are you planning to enjoy the city after WTM, or go straight to your hotel?
- What’s your budget?
London is very expensive, and my first year I stayed at my friend’s house in Chiswick. It was an hour-long commute and I personally enjoyed it – both not paying a mortgage on a week-long stay (😂) and the journey to Excel.
I will say though… WTM London is a physically, mentally, and emotionally intense event – in the best way. You will be talking to endless people, pitching yourself, and walking ALOT.
In other words, it’s a very exciting but tiring event for everyone that attends. With that said, I’d recommend picking a stay that isn’t too hard, or far, to reach.
Dress code for WTM London: What to Wear + Tips

There is no dress code for WTM London, and with thousands of people from around the world, everyone dresses very differently. However, despite the difference in outfits, the common thread is that people always dress in either a business casual or business formal attire.
My biggest tip is to wear something that makes you feel, and look, both confident and professional. My second biggest tip, wear comfortable shoes!
Until you’ve been to Excel London, you cannot even come close in imagining just how immense this exhibition center is. My first year I really suffered physically because of my platform Doc Martens, and heeled boots.😅
In my experience, this event often feels like it switches temperatures – going from hot to cold, and vice versa. Definitely wear layers that you can keep or remove as need, especially due to the cold November weather.
Note: There are several Cloak rooms (free) where you can leave your jackets, scarves, and even suitcases.
What to Bring to WTM London: Essentials
The most important thing to bring to WTM London is your PRINTED ticket – without this, you will not be able to enter the event. And no, there aren’t any onsite printers.
The other essential is to bring your business cards, and I highly recommend bringing a minimum of 50-75 business cards. It’s always best to have too many, than too few.
I created my business card on Canva, and I can’t recommend it enough! Something I’ve done that people always really appreciate is a business card with a QR code that brings them directly to your Linktree or MediaKit.
The next essential I strongly recommend bringing is a notebook, or whatever device you prefer, to take notes.
Talking about notes, make sure to take notes right after your future meetings to remember what you talked about – WTM London is a fast and intense event, and it’s very hard to remember everything, especially small details.
Food wise, there are several spots to grab food, snacks, and drinks in WTM London. As a celiac I can confirm there’s a few options to eat from, but bringing a snack is always a good idea.
What to Pack for London in November?
London in November is fairly cold, but I do have to say – each year has (sadly) gotten warmer.
Definitely bring a small, packable umbrella and a warm coat, preferably waterproof for the rainy weather. A scarf is always great to have.
Water-proof shoes are also good to have, but I personally advise against heavy shoes like Doctor Martens boots. I personally love my Docs, but they are very heavy and always end up giving me back pain due to how much I end up walking in London and at WTM.
How to Book Meetings at WTM London as a Travel Blogger
When you book the Media Ticket, you will get access to WTM’s Connect Me platform. This is where you will find all the Media visitors and Exhibitors attending, as well as your schedules meetings and event plan.
I strongly recommend completing your profile page before you send any invites. This is where you share who you are, your company, what you’re looking for, and so forth.
Next step is to look at the Exhibitors or Find People tab, and filtering your results to help you narrow down who you want, and can, meet with.
I say “can meet with” because there are companies and tourism boards who do not want to meet with either Influencers or Media – just buyers. To avoid sending requests to uninterested tourism boards, use the filter “Interested in Meeting” and then select either Influencer or Media, or both.
Important Tip: Book your meetings by destination so they are nearby and you don’t need to run marathons from one end of ExCel to the other. Also, don’t overbook yourself!
Which Day is Best to Attend WTM London?
The absolute best day to attend WTM London is the very first day, and the next best is the second day. On the first two days, everyone is excited and full of energy – eager to connect and network.
By the third day, there are two scenarios: several tourism boards and companies will have already left, or people are socially burnt out.

Hello Laura,
Last year, WTM was my first one, and I was lucky enough to meet you too 🙂
I absolutely loved WTM, but as you said, it is intense and can feel overwhelming if not well structured.
It is best not to overload the diary with too many bookings, as it might bring more stress than anything else.
I’m looking forward to attending this year and seeing what it’s like.
Hope to see you there 🙂
Hi Sara!!
I’m so happy to hear you’re coming back this year – I’m excited to meet up and catch up with you!😊
And yes, I completely agree. Having structure and not overloading your schedule with meetings makes such a difference—it really helps keep this event, which is fairly overwhelming by nature, as smooth (and fun) as possible.
See you soon(ish)!🤩
