abba Sevilla Hotel Review: Is It Worth Staying Here?

Traveling to Seville and looking for a centrally located hotel? abba Sevilla Hotel might be your answer – it certainly became mine.😍 As a serial destination repeater based in Andalusia, I’ve visited Seville many times and recently discovered my favorite hotel so far for a central sightseeing trip.

Over the years, I’ve stayed in several hotels across the Casco Antiguo, Seville’s historic center, both as a solo female traveler and with my partner. Although I had nice experiences at those hotels, none made me feel the need to return.

Now, unless I specifically want to experience a different neighborhood, abba Sevilla is the first hotel I would check for a return trip.

For a central sightseeing trip, abba Sevilla offered the best combination of location and comfort of any hotel I’ve stayed at in the city so far. However, travelers looking for historic Andalusian character or a quieter residential setting may prefer another neighborhood.

This review is based on my one-night stay in a Deluxe Room at abba Sevilla Hotel in March 2026, following several previous stays in different parts of Seville’s historic center.

The main reason I booked abba Sevilla Hotel was its central location.

It sits right across from the Setas de Sevilla on Plaza de la Encarnación and puts many of Seville’s main attractions within walking distance, including the Real Alcázar, Seville Cathedral, and La Giralda.

abba Sevilla Hotel is located in the heart of the Casco Antiguo, Seville’s historic center, specifically the Centro neighborhood. This makes it the best-located hotel I’ve stayed at in Seville.

As I explain more thoroughly in my Where to Stay in Seville guide, Seville is a large and spread-out city – making it important for tourists, especially first-time visitors, to choose their location carefully. The Casco Antiguo is not just one neighborhood; it is an entire district made up of several different neighborhoods.

El Centro is one of the most practical areas for first-time visitors who want to walk almost everywhere. The neighborhood is full of life, with beautiful streets, a cool shopping scene, endless restaurants, and several specialty coffee shops. However, if you’re looking for something quieter or residential, you might prefer a different neighborhood.

As a celiac, staying here also brought me closer to some of Seville’s best gluten-free restaurants, which are otherwise quite spread out. Some of my favorite nearby options include Grosso Napoletano, a dedicated gluten-free pizzeria, as well as Mito Gelateria, Belmonte Bar, and Açai Paradise. My Deluxe Room and Setas View

Secondary to the location, the rooms were another main reason why I booked abba Sevilla Hotel. From the descriptions and images provided online, this seemed like the perfect hotel for someone who wants the best of both worlds: intense 20,000-step days and ultimate comfort when the day ends.

Spoiler: it really was.

I personally booked the Deluxe Room at abba Sevilla Hotel because I wanted to treat myself at the end of a week-long solo travel adventure. Another thing that sold me on this room was the view of the Setas de Sevilla, which was especially cool at night during the light show.

The hotel lists its Deluxe Rooms as approximately 24–29 square meters, and my room felt very spacious. The room included a desk, full bathroom, and air-conditioning, while the large windows brought in plenty of natural light.

One thing to know before booking is that a view of the Setas may not be guaranteed with every Deluxe Room. The hotel describes this category as having city views, so confirm the exact room description or contact the hotel if a Setas-facing room matters to you.

Rooms: Comfort, Design, and Sleep Quality

While I appreciate staying in beautifully designed rooms with great views, comfort and sleep quality are what can really make or break a hotel for me.

I was so happy to wake up after my night at abba Sevilla and realize how comfortable I had been – especially as someone with a very sensitive neck who can really suffer after sleeping on bad hotel pillows. The pillows were one of the unexpected highlights of my stay, and I woke up feeling refreshed and without the neck pain that the wrong pillow can cause me.

Despite the hotel’s lively location, my room was also quiet. I did not hear anything from the nearby rooms – the only occasional sound came from the hallway. Noise can certainly vary by floor and room orientation, or even hotel guests, but this was my experience in the room I was assigned.

My only minor room complaint was the bathroom ventilation. Unless I missed it, there wasn’t a ventilation system. This did not cause any problems during my one-night stay, but it is something I prefer having.

Overall, the Deluxe Room delivered exactly what I wanted: plenty of space, a memorable view, and a comfortable night’s sleep that left me recharged for my second day exploring Seville.

Staff and Hotel Facilities

The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. I was able to check in early – essentially as soon as I arrived to the hotel – and store my suitcase for the entire day after checking out.

The hotel also offers paid late check-out options until 5 PM, with the price depending on your chosen departure time. I personally preferred to leave my suitcase with reception for free while I spent the day exploring Seville.

Both early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability, so contact the hotel directly if either is important for your trip.

During this particular stay, I mainly stuck to my room and explored the city, so I did not try the breakfast, rooftop bar, rooftop pool, or gym. This review focuses on the room, sleep quality, staff, and location – the parts of the hotel I personally experienced.

The buffet breakfast cost €18 per adult during my stay, which is within the normal range for a four-star hotel in Spain. The hotel offers gluten-free options, but as a celiac who knows Seville well, I could not justify the price for myself when there were other places I wanted to eat nearby. Because I did not try it, I cannot assess its quality or its cross-contact procedures for guests with celiac disease.

The hotel does not have a restaurant serving traditional lunch and dinner service, but food and drinks are available at The Roof Giralda. With such a central location, I did not see the limited on-site dining as a significant drawback.

My Honest Verdict: Is abba Sevilla Hotel Worth it?

Who Is abba Sevilla Hotel Best For?

abba Sevilla Hotel is best for first-time visitors, solo travelers, and couples who want a comfortable, modern room within walking distance of Seville’s main sights.

As a solo female traveler, I particularly appreciated the location. I’ve stayed at other great hotels in Seville that also felt safe, but they were in quieter, more residential areas that made me more cautious about returning alone at night.

The streets around abba Sevilla were active and well lit, with locals and tourists around. Seville is generally a safe city, especially in the center, but it is always important to stay aware of your surroundings.

This hotel may be less suitable if you want traditional Andalusian character, a quiet residential neighborhood, or a resort-style pool experience.

One important note for families: check the capacity of each room before booking and contact abba Sevilla directly if you have questions. The standard Deluxe Room is designed for one or two guests, while selected Triple Deluxe and Junior Suite categories can accommodate up to three.

According to the hotel’s current policy, guests may bring one dog weighing up to 20 kg per room for a €30 nightly supplement. Confirm the policy before booking because fees and restrictions can change.

If you are renting a car, the hotel currently offers access to a limited number of external parking spaces for guests. Parking is less than a five-minute walk away, costs €19 per vehicle per night, and is subject to availability. My Final Verdict

Yes, abba Sevilla Hotel was absolutely worth it for my trip. It quickly became my favorite hotel in Seville because of its central location, comfortable and quiet room, excellent sleep quality, helpful staff, and proximity to some of my favorite gluten-free restaurants.

I paid €173 for a Deluxe Room without breakfast on a non-refundable rate for my one-night stay in late March 2026. Seville hotel prices change significantly by season, availability, and major events, so this is context rather than a benchmark for every stay.

For additional context, I booked only one week before my stay, which almost certainly contributed to the higher price. Even so, it was a price I was happy to pay for this particular trip. 😂

Rates can be considerably lower during Seville’s hottest and quieter summer weeks, so compare several dates if your plans are flexible.

Unless I specifically want to experience a different neighborhood, abba Sevilla is now the first hotel I would check for a return trip.

How far is the ABBA Sevilla Hotel from the airport?

abba Sevilla Hotel is roughly a 20-minute taxi ride from Seville Airport under normal traffic conditions. Seville’s official flat airport taxi fare is currently €26 during standard weekday hours and €29 during nights, weekends, public holidays, and certain major events.

For a more budget-friendly option, the EA airport bus costs €6. However, it does not stop directly outside the hotel, so you will need to walk or connect to another bus for the final part of the journey.

Does abba Sevilla Hotel Have a Pool?

Yes, the hotel has a rooftop pool. I did not use it during my stay, so I cannot review its size, atmosphere, temperature, or seasonal availability. Make sure to confirm the current opening dates and access rules if the pool is an important part of your decision-making.

Does abba Sevilla Hotel Offer Gluten-Free Breakfast Options?

The hotel offers gluten-free breakfast options, but because I did not eat breakfast there, I cannot confirm the selection, cross-contact procedures, or suitability for someone with celiac disease.

If you plan to eat breakfast at the hotel, contact reception directly about its current preparation and service practices rather than assuming that “gluten-free options” means celiac-safe.
